Grateful Little Moment

Hey there, dear one,

Well, my house is a lively one this week. Jeff’s family (Sammy's family) rolled in on Friday, and there are grandkids everywhere—little socks on the stairs, toy cars under the sofa, and the kind of laughter that starts in their bellies and spills through the whole house.

And I’ll tell you something… I didn't realize how much my heart really longed for that sound. ❤️

Yesterday afternoon, we all walked out to the pecan tree—kids racing ahead, Edmund carrying the basket, Jeff already eyeing the pecan pie that will come from this activity. But you know what? Watching them find such delight in gathering those little treasures off the ground made me so grateful for family.

Not only my own but being part of the Lord’s family. How He knows each of us by name. Delighting in us finding our treasures along the way too.

Isn’t it something, how Our Father calls us His daughters.
Not guests. Not visitors.
Family. There is something special about family. 1 John 3:1

And in a week full of noise and crumbs and sticky hands tugging at my sleeves, that truth feels especially dear. Because family, whether born into or gathered along the way, reminds us of the belonging He’s already given.

Wherever this week finds you at a bustling table or a quieter one I hope you feel that belonging. I hope you notice the small graces tucked into the ordinary hours. And I hope you remember you’re loved more deeply than you know.

With a grateful heart and a pocket full of pecans,
Glory

Hey sweet friend, I finally took the Christmas tree down on January 15. I know, that’s about two weeks past what most people would call “reasonable.” But I couldn’t bring myself to do it any earlier. Not because I was busy. I had the time. I was just still enjoying it, lingering in what was. I just wasn’t quite ready to move on. Christmas was special this year. A wonderful time with family, all the fun at The Grove, and of course... Edmund and I got married. It was a Christmas I won’t soon...
