Hey sweet friend,

After hearing all about the cookie contest and everything that happened in Magnolia Bend, I've found myself thinking about something.

There comes a point in life when it's easy to believe we've already done the important things.

We've raised the kids.

Built the career.

Served at church.

Learned the lessons.

And somewhere along the way, we quietly decide that the exciting chapters are probably behind us.

But I've noticed something.

God doesn't seem nearly as interested in our timelines as we are.

Just when we think we've settled into a comfortable routine, He has a way of opening a door we never expected.

A new friendship.

A new opportunity.

A new calling.

Or sometimes...

A cookie contest. 😊

One of my favorite things about Lora's story is that she almost talked herself out of trying.

She could have stayed home.

She could have convinced herself she was too old, too busy, or that someone else was better suited for the opportunity.

Instead, she said yes.

Not because she was certain of the outcome.

But because she was willing to take the next step.

That reminds me of this verse:

"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." — Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

Friend, if God is still writing your story, then perhaps there are still pages ahead you haven't imagined yet.

Maybe the dream looks different now.

Maybe the opportunity seems small.

Maybe you're wondering if it's worth trying.

But what if God isn't finished yet?

What if the next chapter is waiting on the other side of a simple yes?
